Ever since I can remember I have loved doing my make up and keeping my body ready for the summer and keeping myself sexy. It was the main reason for me to create my own beauty blog so I could document everything I was doing that involved beauty.
I am a fun girl and I found a way that I could help other people around the world with specific topics such as waxing, tanning, hair styling and so much more. I enjoy every second of my blogs and that is why I love what I do.
It wasn’t until I met other girls just like me at college who shared those same interests as me and I thought about building a website for a long time but I had no experience of web design or graphic design so I didn’t know where to start.
As I stayed friends with the girls I met at college I told them what I wanted to do and I knew that they ran all kinds of different blogs to do with either fashion or travel. I knew I was better off asking for their advice so I could create a blog of my own.
They told me to work with Interserver because they have the best customer service for beginners who have no idea how to create a blog on their own. When I signed up with them, I did it when I had enough time to focus on what I was doing for at least a couple of hours. The signup process took me about 15 minutes, because I didn’t want to select any additional extras that they offered because I just wanted to get my blog up and running so I could start designing it. It cost me $7.20 a month (yearly) as I chose to use the WordPress option, because I never had to worry about manually updating my website as it would do it all for me, which kept functionality at its highest peak at all times.
After fully signing up I used the chat support and they helped me set up my blog so that I could start to add plugins, a website theme and content. I knew it was going to take me a while to get the hang of it but once I was in I was so excited just to learn and create something of my own.
I believe that whenever someone decides they want to build a blog of their own, then it is better to do it on the side and gradually get better at it so you don’t lose track of the things you have to take care of in your personal life.
I started to write a bunch of content and begin to share them on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram & Reddit.
Getting your content out to your social media is crucial because you will get shares and you will be able to build your following much quicker, so definitely think about this before you begin a website with Interserver.
The good thing about my blog is that it generates roughly 40,000 unique visitors per month as I post at least one blog a day and share it to all of my social media followers, which delivers incredible value to my readers.
With this sort of value I am able to sell ad space to companies who wish to promote whatever products they wish, as long as they are beauty related as that is what my blog is about.
I also accept sponsorship’s as well, which does add up to a great yearly income for me.
So you can imagine, building your following gives you more value and income in the long run because your followers will respect what you do forever.
